FAQ’s

  • Unfortunately no! My skill is the cooking, not the growing! There are a few things that we grow at home (green tomatoes, beetroot), but mostly we source our produce from friends, family and local farmers and the rest from local suppliers. I support small businesses as much as I can so that my customers can too.

  • All our products are made seasonally, which means that we only make them when the main ingredient is in season (Summer is a busy time!), to ensure the best quality and to try and ensure we can source locally grown produce. We make as much as we can while the produce is at its best. As it’s just one person in the kitchen (hi, it’s me!), there’s a limit to my productivity, so I can only make what I make. Once our stockpile is gone, it won’t be back until the new season for that fruit or vegie is back again. So if you love something, stock up while you can!

  • All our products are gluten free, except for Tomato Relish (which contains a small amount of flour).

Fun fact… our Spicy Green Sauce is sugar free.

  • We hand cut all our produce. We don’t use machines or gadgets. I have a very precious selection of knives that work hard every day! So whilst I pride myself on quality and consistency, it’s hard to get every slice the same!

  • We have a minimum order of 3 jars.

All our products have a long shelf life (stored correctly, they can last 12 months) and a short making season, so we really encourage you to stock up, so you don’t miss out on your favourite.

Postage and packaging costs are high no matter what, so we figure you’re better off stocking up and saving on postage!

  • No way! All our products are free from preservatives and additives.

We don’t use any special jam sugar and no added pectin or citric acid in our jams and marmalade.

  • All our products have at least a 12 month shelf life (from the time of bottling). Some even longer.

Our best before dates are listed on each product label.

Unopened, our products should be stored in a cool dark place. Once opened, please store in the fridge.

You guys – a long shelf life means you can stock up!

  • We are sorry to hear this! Please contact us at hello@thedilltickle.com with a picture of the damage within 48 hours of receiving your order. Please refer to our terms and conditions for more information about this issue.

  • Yes! Preserves make a fab gift!

You can write a personalised message which will be sent with your order on a notecard. During checkout, you will be asked to enter a gift message. The message will then be handwritten on a notecard for you.

  • Unfortunately we don’t. Jars are too heavy and breakable to be winging their way internationally!
